WW2 & WW1 Propaganda Posters

Pretty standard WW2 poster, fighting in the Pacific meant alot of racial slurs on Asians and poster like this were common.

Looks appealing right? recruiting fellow Aussies ANZACs calls (Australian New Zealand Army Corps)  Gallipoli,Turkey 1915. If only they knew of the bumbling idiots that would be leading them into certain death there.

Australian soldiers Gallipoli 1915

Australian soldiers guarding a captured Turkish officer camouflaged with bushes. This is from Gallipoli in 1915.

It made me chuckle this, reminded me of the annoying man in San Fransisco near the pier that camouflages himself and jumps out at suspecting tourists.

Gallipoli Campaign 1915

Australian sniper using a periscope rifle at Gallipoli, 1915. He is aided by a spotter with a periscope. The men are believed to belong to the Australian 2nd Light Horse Regiment and the location is probably Quinn's Post.

A few aspects of this photo worth discussing. How uninterested do the men look? they look shattered and most probably have had enough. How on earth can he fire that rifle with any accuracy? a wooden contraption holding it up.
